Responding to traffic accidents is a major role of the fire service. MVA's present both a risk of fire and the need for special rescue training. All BFD members are training in the use specialized rescue equipment.
Training is provided by Department certified instructors. The Department uses outside training agencies (JIBC and Holimatro) to keep our instructors up to date with the latest design in motor vehicles.
