Chief’s Message

Welcome, my name is Bob Cook, Fire Chief for the City of Burnaby.

There are three equally important elements of a Fire Department:

• Emergency Response
• Fire Prevention; and
• Public Education

Each element is critical and represents investments in the short and long-term public safety infrastructure of our community.

The Fire Service has a special set of responsibilities and must continue to develop and expand its role within the community and strive to not only meet, but exceed, expectations in the area of customer service.
